Bateman vaults 207 places in world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Brian Bateman received his first world ranking points of the season Sunday by winning the Buick Open, where he rolled in a 12-foot birdie putt at the 72nd hole to avoid a possible playoff at Warwick Hills.
Bateman jumped 270 places from 408th to 138th in the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
Further up, there were few changes at the top of the rankings.
Tiger Woods, of course, remained the No. 1 player in the world ahead of his scheduled start at the AT&T National this week, where he will play host in his first event back since the birth of his daughter last month.
Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Henrik Stenson, Geoff Ogilvy and Luke Donald remained in positions 2-9. Padraig Harrington and Retief Goosen continued their weekly flip-flop at 10th and 11th, with Harrington moving up this week.
Sergio Garcia, Rory Sabbatini, Masters winner Zach Johnson, U.S. Open champion Angel Cabrera, Paul Casey and Trevor Immelman filled spots 12-17 again.
Justin Rose moved up a spot to 18th, dropping David Toms to 19th, and K.J. Choi rounded out the top 20 again.
